A baby was strapped to my back as another crawled around in the playground. I stayed up all night days, for months, sanding and stripping wallpaper and with just one child. Ha! All was beginning to fall in place, yet we were nowhere near done. In order to furnish the house, it was going to take a lot of effort with regards to time and money. Also, I had go to my favorite stores. To keep my budget sound, I travelled with my 3 boys looking for bargains in estate sales. It was a weekly tradition that we would go through estate and garage sales on Fridays and Saturdays and purchase a variety of new and old pieces. My next task was to spend the rest of my time painting and sanding outside in our driveway. It was a bit like it... That's where my passion for restoring furniture began. No matter what, the home was furnished. There was an area at the local markets where I would sell my items. My collection eventually grew enough that the area that I was living in was not enough. I hosted open houses at my house where 1 000 people could visit on a single weekend. the visitors were able to purchase items on the first level. My company Growing Days began here. My company was flourishing however my family was also growing. As a young mom I was able to strike the right equilibrium to start my own business as well as being a decent mother. Growing Days seemed like the ideal fit. Nora my fourth child was born in the year 2013. This was a fantastic direction for my business however I was also in need of an escape. I took a break from the old furniture in order to spend more quality time with my kids. That was precisely what I was looking for. After a few minutes I began to hear my phone getting busy. I was getting messages from individuals asking for assistance with home improvements and design of interiors. The majority of people who contacted me were people who had came to my house at one of my furniture open house events. It didn't seem long until I managed a large-scale home renovation company. I began by taking clients one by one with a speed I was comfortable with. If you'd told me that my company would become the basis for a DIY Network show, I might have been astonished. It's hilarious to look back to the idea.
